At FatCat, we value efficiency and transparency. That is why our selection process is organized to provide value and benefit to every person involved in it.
Steps
The hiring process at FatCat starts with your application. Feel free to send us your CV at careers@fatcatcareers.com, even if there is no active job opening for the position you are interested in. Once we review your application, you’ll go through the selection steps listed below. Please note that they are all eliminatory, but also that you will receive feedback after each one. If that sounds good, stick around to learn a bit more about the steps and what you can expect.
After your brief resume introduction, it’s time for a short role-related questionnaire that will help us learn more about your previous experience. We will send it to your email and give you 48 hours to complete it in English.
Additionally, you will receive a general prescreening that includes an expected salary range, which is an important factor for both sides. It can determine whether we will continue with the selection process or not, alongside role-related questions. If we are on the same page, let’s have a quick chat.
This is your time to shine, with a role-related task that will put all of your skills and experience into practice. For example, if you apply for the position of a developer, we will give you a mini programming challenge.
The assignment takes a couple of hours to complete, and you will receive it through email. That means that you have the freedom of doing it from your home, whenever it’s convenient to do so.
If you pass the task, we will introduce you to your potential future colleagues, joined by a recruiter. This call lasts 90 minutes, that includes a small peer programming session (10+ minutes).
Moreover, you will learn about the responsibilities regarding your role, as well as the qualities needed to be successful in our team. Once that is done, it’s time to meet the big boss and General Manager.
Candidates who pass all the previous steps and seem like a good fit for the role get to meet our CEO and their potential General Manager. The call usually lasts for about 30 minutes and doesn’t include technical questions.
It’s more like a friendly conversation whose purpose is to confirm that you are the right person for the position, from the aspect of the FatCat’s company culture. After all, up to this point, your qualities and potential are more than evident.
Offer
After all the introductions and testing, it`s time to close the deal. You will receive an official offer based on what we have initially discussed in the beginning stages, regarding the salary expectations and other role-related terms.
You will have enough time to read through it and get back to us with your answer. We`ll wait patiently, hoping that you will join our team and begin a new career chapter with FatCat Network.
